Lee Robert Dennis of Fast Track Athletics Club has happily emerged as Liberia’s new long distance champion.
On Saturday, during the just concluded Club Championship of the Liberia Athletics Federation, Dennis ran 16:32.22 to reach the finish line as champion to wear his first gold medal of the 5,000 event.
“I ran the 12 laps and the half as if they were six laps, because l have trained for this for two months,” Dennis told reporters.
Dennis hugely pushed Fast Track in the men’s relays which contributed to the Club to win this year’s Club Championship.
