
Middle distance runner, Teakai Saybah Kplěe has become the new 800m and 1,500m champions on Saturday, replacing Lucy Massaquoi.
Saybah convincingly emerged first in the 1,500 and 800m races respectively and swinged two good medals, at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex during the 2021 Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) Club Championship.
She finished with a record time of 5:41 at the 1,500 race, and 2:33.28 at 800m race.
The new Liberian middle distance athlete helped her club, Liberty Athletics Club, to grasp second place with 49 points at the just ended LAF Club Championship.
She has been recruited on the national athletics team.
